am a deacon and I lead a Junior High
small group on Sunday night.

involved at North Terrace in addition
to serving as an Elder/Deacon? I
am involved with the Men's Group, a
small group, various mission trips,
and I assist Dick Brown with building
maintenance and I also maintain the
church vehicles.
What is your
favorite Bible verse? Anything
in James, but James 1:19-20 stands
out to me. "My dear brothers,
take note of this: everyone should
be quick to listen, slow to speak,
and sow to become angry, for man's
anger does not bring about the righteous
life that God desires."

for the Lord? Rich
Teske, who is a campus
minister for Reach Out
on Campus at OU. He baptized
me in 1994 and was very
influential in my walk
with Jesus as a new Christian.
Since then, Rob Walker,
Brad Giffin, Derrill
Wakefield and Larry Tumblin
have challenged me to
continually deepen my
walk.

leadership experience at North Terrace? I
became a deacon at North Terrace in
2000.
How are you
involved at North Terrace in addition
to serving as an Elder/Deacon? I
serve in the sound booth doing video
work and lead various activities with
the Men's Ministry. I have been the
board secretary for six years and am
a smalll group leader, as well.

give the reason for the hope that you

blind since birth) and a son
(Justin).

have been a deacon for several

Elder/Deacon? My
health problems prevent me from
being involved much, but I have
served on several committees,
have been a regular Sunday School
teacher/substitute teacher, helped
with the nursing home services,
and am in the process of starting
an early morning small group.
