Bob
Wiley
Where were
you born? I was born
and educated in Zanesville, Ohio
Where did you
attend school? Zanesville
City Schools
Were you in
the military? I
was in the Army reserves.
What is your
professional background? I
retired from Zanesville
Mould after 37 years
of service.
Tell us about
your family: My
wife, Sherry, and I
have been married for
52 years and have three
grown children and
four grandchildren.
Who led you
to or influenced you
most for the Lord? Many
people were important
in my life. Shortly
after I started reading
the Bible, a neighbor
invited me to church.
(Never underestimate
the value of
inviting someone to church!) A
minister took me under his wing, baptized
me, and then got me started working
in the church. I started attending
over 50 years ago and have been active
in the church ever since.
What is your
leadership experience
at North Terrace: I
am presently an elder. My
leadership over the
years has changed as
times (and I) have
changed. I do
a lot of calling and
have been a teacher,
a deacon, and the chairman
of the elders. I
consider it a privilege
to serve however, wherever
and whenever I can.
How are you
involved at North Terrace
in addition to serving
as an Elder/Deacon? I
am involved at North
Terrace with Sunday
School and Joy Ministries. Over
the years I have been
on many committees,
including the search
committee that called
Bill Meaige to be our
senior minister. At
times I play the drums
for Sunday services
or bring our group
to play for Joy Ministries. I
lead the communion
thought when ask to
do so.
What is your
favorite Bible verse? I
don't have a favorite
bible verse but I enjoy
studying the New Testament,
as I believe it is
the direction for living.
Do you have
a favorite TV show
or movie? No,
but I enjoy watching
sports. Due to physical
limitations I do not
attend as many games
as I use to, but I
still enjoy going to
a game now and then
with my son or some
of the young fellows
at church.
What is your
favorite food? Pasta.
Do you have
a favorite eatery? I
enjoy home cooking
and eating out.

team, or board game? I
enjoy playing chess. My
favorite sport is football.
I played semi pro ball
years ago and coached
the Maysville Jr. High
football for many years.

interests? I

with many groups. I

that since my accident,
but I still work out
at the Field House.
Do you have
hidden talent(s)? I
don't know, but if
I do they'd better
make themselves known
soon!
Over the years I
have grown under the guidance of many
ministers and Christian friends who
have cared for me spiritually and when
I have needed them physically. I consider
my Christian family among my greatest
blessings. If I have any regrets it
would be that I didn't have the opportunity
to attend a Christian college and to become
a minister. The Lord has looked after
me well over the years. I have been
in two accidents where a friend was
killed.
I try to live one day at a time,
and I thank God for each of them.
