little about her . . . |
Della is a dedicated part of
the ministry team for North Terrace.
She actively maintains and heads up
the Prayerchain Ministry. She can be
found at the office, home or at the
local college campus. Her dedication
to the Lord and her family is something
that she excels at. Her heart is open
to God’s plan for her life and
she strives to meet the challenges
of todays Christian in a changing world.

her family . . . |
Della has been married
to her high school sweetheart (Jerry)
for 32 years. They have two daughters,
Kristen and Tracey, who both attend college
in the local area.
|
| What
she loves. . . |
- She loves
a good laugh and many times you can walk
into to the office to the sound of that
laughter.
- She has a compassion
for her work and her ministry and enjoys
the “Arts & Crafts” time
that she spends in creating the Power
Point and Media Shout presentations
for the staff.
- She is always actively
recruiting people to help in the office
or other ministries and willing
offers her expertise at any project she
is assigned by senior staff.

| What
are her dreams . . . |
Della is attending
Zane State College and aspires to become
an IT professional. She is majoring in
Software Development with a Second major
in Networking/ Cisco Routers. She hopes
to eventually develop bible based games
for the newest gaming systems with a goal
to see more children learning about our
Lord (even if they don’t know they
are).

| What
is her work experience . . . |
Della was raised in Akron, OH.
She graduated from Ellet High School
in 1975 and attended Barberton School
of Commerce, for data processing. She
traveled with Jerry as he made his military
tour of duty with the Air Force and gave
birth to their oldest daughter in 1983. She
cared for her mother till her mothers
passing in 1989 and gave birth to her
daughter Tracey that same year. In
1997, Della went from full time mom to
full time worker/mom, when Jerry became
permanently disabled. She has worked
as an Apprentice Optician, and Administrative
Assistant in the last ten years.

| What
are her gifts and talents . . . |
She has a knack for finding her way
around computer glitches. The Prayer
Chain is a great asset to the ministry
and she is glad to be a part of it. Her
job as Communications Secretary at NTCoC
is a asset to that ministry, giving her
hands access to the requests and devices
she needs to get the word out. She enjoys
answering the phones and guiding to callers
in the appropriate direction for help.
On any given day she can be found at
her desk in the front office, and is
on 24 hour call for the Prayer Chain.

| What
are her hobbies . . . |
When she finds time in her busy schedule
she like to “tweak” her
family web site and make it more interesting
for its members, who are all over the
country. She enjoys a good game
of Scrabble and helping her husband with
his computer hobby. And of course don’t
forget shopping with her girls.

| How
she ended up here . . . |
Della was baptized and joined the Salineville
Church of Christ in 1984. While a member
there, she helped with the Children’s
programs and went with Jerry when he
did home visitations as a deacon of that
congregation. Della & Jerry transferred
to NTCoC in 1998 after an invitation
to come and “check it out” from
Don and Mary Janicki.
